Class Details
These classes are open to nearly and newly married couples. You must register in advance and space is limited. The classes are taught by me, Erin Morey, LMFT, and are located in my office in McLean, Virginia. The classes will include the PREPARE workbook and light refreshments and snacks will be served. If you would like to also complete the PREPARE Inventory, you may do so for an additional $40 per couple.

Class Outline
Day 1
- Identify Strength & Growth Areas
- Communication Skills: assertiveness training, active listening, creating a wish list, daily dialogue and compliments, talking through the tough stuff, increasing intimacy through communication
Day 2

Personal Stress Profile: balancing priorities
- Expectations Management
- Conflict Resolution: 10 steps for resolving conflict, protecting fun and friendship, ground rules for fighting fair, forgiveness
Day 3
- Financial Management: financial goals, creating a budget, meaning of money
- Love & Intimacy: love languages, sexual vs. sensual
- Family of Origin & Family Planning: family map, couple map, closeness vs. flexibility
